Road Conditions for this State are unavailable. Links to this State's DOT website return month's old messages from the Governor, tourism info, contracts being let for bridge construction, etc. Basically, they're a waste of time and worthless in this context. For now, go back and click on our weather link for current weather conditions. They may give you an idea of what's happening on the roads and highways you're looking for.
If you are a resident of a State that fails to provide this important information to the public, we suggest that you contact your State's Department of Transportation and ask that they put up a meaningful and easily accessible link to this critically important information. This is a safety issue. It's important not only for the safety of your State's citizenry, but also for that of the traveling public from other areas who may be transiting your State and who are wholly unfamiliar with the roadways and unique conditions peculiar to your area.
You might suggest that they look at this site's links to virtually any of the Western States if they need examples of how to build their own links. If they still think it would be just too difficult, have them check our link to the road conditions in Kansas. They don't even maintain a working site of their own, but simply provide textual information to a link that is posted by Ohio State University. Basically, their info is just the script for their telephone reports, which Kansas does provide, displayed in a text editor. It couldn't get much simpler than that, and yet the requisite information is available.
You can be assured that if and when a useful link to this State's winter road conditions becomes available, we will update our listings.
